SWR's ability to balance what in effect 12 unique fractions is second to none. ... and we get to answer the age old question: Which is better, the Overlord or the Mammoth tank? (Just kidding, well, it's more complicated than that) The only mod where you can find bolt action rifle troops going up against super heavy tanks from the future.SWR's ability to balance what in effect 12 unique fractions is second to none. ... and we get to answer the age old question: Which is better, the Overlord or the Mammoth tank? This mod is probably the best ZH mod out there. It stays true to the original, while being fun and realistic at the same time. This mod is probably the best ZH mod out there. It stays true to the original, while being fun and realistic at the same time.

When using general ironside. There's too much useless tech tree. Turrets require a base platform to construct and choose which turret to build which may lead to confusion. 2nd is the lack of gunships which makes Dr. Thrax even harder enemy even in easy difficulty. 3rd is Missile infantry tend to do very little damage than the standard Missile defenders. Also, you had to build another Missile infantry for AA targets which cost money. 4th. Mammoth tanks missile shield upgrade cannot even intercept thrax scud launcer missiles even thou it is design to intercept missiles! Others.. Maybe too many units of the same type which may lead to confusion. When using general ironside. There's too much useless tech tree. This mod breaths new life into C&C 0hr. besides the new units and vehicles i enjoyed all the little things, like the ability to mock other players via your command center. I relay appreciated the new general challenges and how instead of campaigns there was three mini games. For me it was the little things. Shockwave is an awesome mod for an awesome game. The artwork is amazing and the models are great. The voices and sound are at the same level as in the original game. There are very few bugs and there are a lot of good additions that really fit in the game. However, the mod is very unbalanced. About half of the generals have overpowered units, and USA is overpowered itself. But overall, this mod is greatShockwave is an awesome mod for an awesome game. I LOVE THIS MOD! Not only does it add more diversity to the game, but it also makes you have to use multiple strategies for the different generals you'll be facing, and personally i enjoy that. No two battles are the same whether i'm battling against the AI or my friends and so far i have not seen any major bugs or glitches so BRAVO!I LOVE THIS MOD! Easily one of the best mods out there for zero Hour. Adds 100s of new units and abilities, and 3 all new Generals, while still keeping the core feel of ZH. Essentially an unofficial expansion pack for Zero Hour which makes the game what it should have been had EA put more time and effort into it. Each of the 15 Generals/factions now feel entirely original, rather than just a 'tweak' of the base faction. Every faction will have completely unique units and weapons in their arsenal (ex. rather than just simply give him no tanks, Air Force general now has a weaker tank, and has several completely unique aircraft, etc). Balance is also quite a bit better too (no more comically overpowered laser point defenses for King Raptors, Aurora Alpha bombs, etc). On the flip side though this mod does still have a few rough edges, which keeps me from giving it a perfect 10. Firstly the skirmish AI has a few bugs which cause imbalance (ex. Superweapon and Nuke General build multiple superweapons unless a limit is set to 1), and other than the 3 new generals (which are noticeably better than the others), most of the skirmish AIs just aren't too challenging, even on the hardest setting. (They seem to run out of money after awhile and just stop attacking). As much as I love this mod, I eventually gave up on the single player skirmish in favor of Rise of the Reds (another mod by the same team, which has significantly better skirmish AI). My other major issue is the Challenge mode. While the Demo General mission (cut from ZH) is restored, though there is still no Infantry General mission (or missions for the new Generals). And almost all of the missions have some major bug or exploit. You opponent may never build AA, or may never fire their super weapon, not use their taunts or start the mission without power, or simply stop attacking altogether after the first 5 minutes, etc. It's buggy and incomplete. In spite of these few flaws however, this is easily one of the best mods for ZH.Easily one of the best mods out there for zero Hour.
